TRAINING
Our training programme is for refugees and asylum seekers whose English is at entry level 3 or above. The programme runs for 18 weeks with the first part (English, Barista skills etc.) taking place on Mondays. We run 3 programmes a year with between 12 – 16 trainees in each cohort.
5 Main Elements in our Training Programme

English Classes
This will help improve your confidence in spoken English, particularly in language relevant for customer service. You will learn the vocabulary needed for both food hygiene and barista training.

Barista Training
You will learn how to make professional coffee: lattes, espressos and cappuccinos. This is a very useful skill which can help you to get a job in this industry.

Food Hygiene
You will need to understand this in order to work in the hospitality trade. This will give you a nationally-recognised certificate to put on your CV.

Employment
You will learn vital information that will help you when looking for jobs. You will understand things about how jobs work in the UK and the rights and responsibilities of workers.

Work Experience
This helps you because it can give you a work reference, gives you experience in the UK and helps you to start on your journey towards employment.
